Pizazz Music  

PIZAZZ TEACHING ARTISTS are musicians who are gifted in teaching and communicating music. These teaching artists are drawn from all over the United States and they serve the community in which they live. Each artist develops their own series of programs to educate, enhance and excite people of all ages about the power of classical music. They perform school concerts, individual recitals, chamber music concerts, and present lectures about the power of classical music to change lives.

     
Terri Henningson  

TERRI GOULARD HENNINGSON - VIOLIN

Terri Goulard Henningson is a violin teacher and chamber music coach, and she has been involved with the Westminster Orchestra program since 2006.  At the age of five, Dr. Suzuki personally invited her to become the first American student to participate in the annual Suzuki Grand Concert in Tokyo. Mrs. Henningson studied with American Suzuki pioneer Elizabeth Mills, and with Zvi Zeitlin at the Eastman School of Music. She has continued her pedagogy studies with William Starr, Craig Timmerman, Alice Joy Lewis, and Michelle Higa George. As a performer, she has played with the Santa Rosa Symphony, among others. She has maintained a private violin studio for over 20 years and has served on served on the Board of Directors for the Suzuki Association of Georgia for six years as vice president and chair for the annual Fall Graduation Concert.  Mrs. Henningson also performs as a freelance musician in Atlanta, GA.

     
Jameson Platte  

JAMESON PLATTE - CELLO

Jameson Platte maintains an active career both as a performer and a teacher. He is a member of the Omega Trio, Duo 92 with pianist/composer Matthew Quayle, holds the principal position in six orchestras and maintains a large private studio. He has been a featured recitalist in Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, Lincoln Center, 92nd St. Y and has made recent solo appearances with the Glens Falls Symphony, The Orchestra of Northern New York, Maplewood Society of Musical Arts Orchestra, Central Jersey Symphony, Monmouth Symphony and the Stokes Forest Festival Orchestra, among others. Mr. Platte is Artist/Faculty at New England Music Camp. His students have been accepted to many of North America and Europe's most prestigious conservatories, and several have achieved success as professional performers and teachers.

     
Jane Shelly  

JANE SHELLY - FLUTE

Jane Shelly is the founder of Wilton Music Studios where she maintains a large studio of private students, Jane is flute teacher and coach for  Chamber Music Central (CT), and Norwalk Youth Symphony.  She conducts the Soundwaves Flute Ensemble, a group of adult amateur flutists which rehearses regularly and performs in local churches and assisted living facilities. She is a well-known clinician, regularly giving clinics and master classes at local area schools.  As Education and Operations Manager of the Norwalk (CT) Symphony, Jane created and supported education and outreach programs.  In addition to being a music educator, Jane Shelly is also Principal flute of the Greater Bridgeport Symphony, the Wallingford Symphony and assistant Principal flute with the Norwalk Symphony.  She is a founding member of the Guastavino Trio (Flute, Cello and Piano) and a well-known free-lance musician and contractor throughout the tri-state area.  She currently lives in Stamford, CT.

Diane Wittry  

DIANE WITTRY - CONDUCTOR & CHAMBER MUSIC COACH

Diane Wittry is the Music Director and Conductor of the Allentown Symphony, PA and the Artistic Director of the International Cultural Exchange Program with the Sarajevo Philharmonic, Bosnia. Known as a conductor, composer, and teacher, she is also the author of "Beyond the Baton" and "Baton Basics," both published by Oxford University Press. Wittry is a frequent guest speaker at conferences and seminars throughout the United States and a national advocate for music education. The International Conducting Seminars she teaches are attended by conductors from all over the world. Diane Wittry is available for chamber music coaching, clinics, lectures, key-note speaking engagements, and guest conducting.
